Whine 'ku

Haiku Friday

What's with the whining?
Can't you find a better way?
I'm not listening.

Irritates my drums
ear drums that is, you sound like
escaped helium

What makes you think that
sound will get me moving fast?
Slows me to a crawl.

Who wants to hear that?
Why would I run to you now?
Can't you hear yourself?

That's the wrong 'whine' girl
Would you like some cheese with that?
Barolo = better

Now get lost lady
come back when you can talk like
the big girl you are...

Go here or here for Mr.Linky (these 'kuers rock)...to add your own piece of artful writing.

To play along for Haiku Friday, follow these steps:

1. Write your own haiku on your blog. You can do one or many, all following a theme or just random. What’s a haiku, you ask? Click here.

2. Sign the Mister Linky at the above link with your name and the link to your haiku post (the specific post URL, not your generic blog URL). We will delete your link if it doesn’t go to a haiku. If you need help with this, contact Christina.

3. Pick up a Haiku Friday button to display on the post or in your sidebar by clicking the button above.

  1. Yeah, what is UP with the whining? My 4-year-old has a quite remarkable vocabulary but lately she's taken to grunting and pointing, and then bursts into tears when we tell her to use words. She talks a blue streak the rest of the time, so it's not like speaking is difficult for her. Whoever figures out the answer first promises to tell the other, okay?

  5. Ha!

I'm sure she'll pick up on the fact that the whining doesn't work soon enough. She's smart. It won't take long.

  6. Oh boy did my son go through a stage of constant whining. We told him that we couldn't understand what he was saying and if he wanted us to listen and answer him, he'd have to use his big boy voice. Hopefully, it will pass for a little while for your daughter as it did for my son.

  9. Janet's suggested
'mantra' might help you get through
    this girl's 'whiny' phase

Good lucky and have some 'wine & cheese yourself.

It’s taken just about all day, but I’ve managed to post Haiku on both of my blogs after making numerous changes to each and creating a third. Imagine that! Just call me obsessed and addicted ;--)
    Hugs and blessings,

  10. Heheh, I think I've put my 'big girl panties' back on ... for the time being, at least!

    Hope the whining passes!
